Oscar Pistorius Cannot Afford another Trial



Former South Africa's Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius does not have the financial capability to cover a new trial over the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius' lawyer argued in papers filed with the South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal that it wold be too long and complex, he said the first trial was subject to intense public scrutiny which would contaminate and confuse the reliability and objectivity of another hearing.


Mr Roux argues the State is trying to attack Ms Masipa’s finding that Pistorius did not intend to kill Ms Steenkamp, and that it was not allowed to do this. The Court of Appeal is expected to consider the matter in November 2015.

UEFA Looking at Possibility Of Third Club Competition


Those in control of the affairs of European football  have discussed the possibility of creating a third club competition at a meeting of the 54 UEFA member on Wednesday, where they researched the merits of a new  competition for clubs that fail to advance from the qualifying round for the Champions League or Europa League, they also considered if the competition could also be reserved for clubs from smaller countries who have never participated in the group stages of the two existing cups.
The discussions are still at an early stage and no modification to club competition structure until when the current round of TV rights deals expire.
According Sportsmail Scottish Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan said that "the intention of the new competition would be to allow teams to maintain European football throughout the autumn and perhaps into the new year."
