Anthony Martial Becomes Premiere League's Joint Fastest Man This Season

Manchester United Striker Anthony Martial as been recognized by  EA Sports' Player Performance Index as the fastest player in the premiership this season alongside Leicester City's Jamie Vardy.
Vardy got into the record books by clocking 22 miles per hour over five seconds, as he helped Leicester beat West Ham 2-1, back in August, while the most expensive teenage footballer, matched Vardy during Manchester United's 3-3draw against Newcastle United.

The EA Sports PPI is the Premier League's official rating index, that measures a player's contribution to his team using six key indices. The intention is to 'remove any opinion bias and only work with proven statistical measurements' which become more accurate as the season progresses.

Manchester United spent £36million to sign 19-year-old striker Anthony Martial, from French side Monaco, making him the most expensive teenage footballer in the process.

Here are five thing you don't know about him.

1) Martial is married to childhood sweetheart Samantha, and they have an infant daughter named Toto, and are expecting a second child.

2) The Striker prefers to stay in, is a television addict, likes to relax with his family following training sessions and matches enjoys home-cooked meals by his mum.

3) The Paris-born striker has been dubbed the new Thierry Henry but, just like any other teenager, has a love for video games, including FIFA, and TV shows such as Dexter.

4) His pre-match rituals include listening to music and, as a Catholic, praying.

5) As a child, his idol was  Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson who scored 71 goals in 110 appearances for Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 between 1999-2003.
