Chris Brown, 25 and The Game, 34 who are allegedly affiliated with the Bloods, one of LA's primary street gangs, are set to play at anti-gang basketball game in LA, pictured at the AMAs in November 2006, which is curious.
According to TMZ, Brown isn’t a member, but he has aligned himself with the Fruit Town Piru, a subset of the gang.
The ‘Fallen Angel’ Singer, has allegedly helped their crime-ridden Compton community economically, by hiring members of the gang to work for him.
Brown also appears proud of his purported connection to the gang, making reference to them on Instagram and allegedly throwing gang hand signs when Suge Knight was shot last month at a nightclub in LA.
The Game, meanwhile, was born in Compton, and both his parents were members of The Crips, the main rival to The Bloods.
He has admitted in the past to being a member of The Bloods, but claimed in a 2010 interview with Hot 107.9 that he is less involved with the gang now.
However, his music still seems to allude to street culture.
His latest album is called ‘Blood Money’, and he also collaborated in 2011 with Lil' Wayne on the single Red Nation.
Other celebrities taking part in Saturday's event include Nick Cannon, Tyga, Trey Songz and Jason Derulo.
